As of late I have been becoming more active as well as uneasy when doing nothing. I have to either be out physically doing something to work my body, or I have to be engaged mentally in something. It is nice to finally be getting back to how I like being. But it has lead to some interesting thoughts. Mainly thoughts of old unexplored ideas as well as desires for planning and constructing devices.

In short I am going to see what all my mind can come up with unlimited freedom of thought and form. And I know it probably will fail, but, hey what fun is life if you always play it safe with letting out your creative side. *The sounds of cogs can heard as his mind works at generating new ideas and plans.*

So off and on for about the past month or two I have been sick. What with I don't know but it is really bad for me as it affects my ability to think clearly. I also have been busy working on trying to keep up with my classes which is not easy when I get like this. I will explain further after the cut.
kurorahk: (Default)
Well okay not actual arrows or even foam darts instead it is electricity from the ground to the sky. Been not that busy for the past week but heading into midterms so that is changing already. I am not happy about the placement of the release of Fallout: New Vegas as it is Tuesday here and my first midterm is Wednesday. Not fun because I have to study and probably also homework as well.

I have given up on making my Spartan III armor for Halloween this year as it is just going take a lot more time before I am happy with how it looks, probably just go as myself from NONE or something. Speaking of NONE still hoping we can move it forward and as such at very least going to push it via security logs.

As of late I have been thinking about starting reviews (text only at first) of games. I have always wanted to do this but more as a side thing. If I find I have a knack for doing reviews I will move onto getting some site for it and doing at least voiced over game reviews. IDK I want to and I know my style for it already and hell also if people like it I will enjoy doing it. However defiantly not going to subject myself all that often to games that make you want to kill yourself to escape reviewing them.

Been having a lack of time it seems to do anything meaningful. I have been having some problems with sleep as of late but seem to have fixed that by closing the blinds before I go to bed. I don't understand why my roommate even keeps them open once it hits night. I know he opens the blinds during the day for the natural sunlight as our overhead light screams at a high pitch and is completely ineffective at lighting my room.

I am rather hating my COM 122 class due to I still do not see the point of the class when all it is actually for is making certain you know how to write. It should have a test that if you fail you take the class then at least it would not feel like a complete waste of time. Whatever I really don't care at this point about it, only took it because I wanted to give a try at a better grade and needed to fill some credit hours.

Working on Halloween costume which is going to be Spartan III armor from Halo: Reach, got the helmet I made a long time ago on its way as well as some forearm and shin guards to build around for the arm and leg bits of the armor. Still really worried about the chest and the upper leg sections of armor due to how hard those parts have been in the past for me to make.

The weather as of late has been stormy, and more over Thunder Storms which is awesome I love thunderstorms as well they just are awesome to me. Going to be busy this month with lots of work and midterms as well but hey that is college. Oh well almost done with the boring stuff so I can get onto the interesting classes where I get to learn stuff instead of repeating High School English classes and reusing basic physics over and over without building on any of it.

Still alive here, and almost done packing. Going down early Friday with a lot of stuff in tow, however not that bad since it is a lot less stuff than previous times.

My Chaos Space Marines today got me one victory and almost a second, however it was mostly my fault not the dice or the units themselves that cause the loss. Need to work on my tactics more but hey for my forth and fifth matches not bad, currently standing at three wins and two losses.

Just need to finish packing and send my three boxes to arrive Monday and well hopefully everything goes off without a hitch.

The Moon

The Moon decided it would be fun to go and arc through the sky and put itself just in the small gap between branches in my forest so that when I went to bed it was shining into my eyes. Now normally I would just close the blinds and be done with it but due to I wanted to cool off my room and just leaving the windows open at night would not do. So that was annoying but not as annoying as the harvesters showing up at the same time as I try to go to sleep and start shining lights into my other window and being so loud they woke up half of the house (two people one of which was as far a way from them as possible.

Now back to getting my Psy 201 Ch. 4 test done then either reading Falling Free by Lois McMaster Bujold or playing some more Fallout 3.

Update

Jul. 24th, 2010 07:07 pm
kurorahk: (Hello?)
So not much been going on with me, I now own my desktop completely which is nice as that means I have unrestricted access to it other than you know my own choices on where I put it. Went to a Renaissance Faire which was fun, but really small. Been hunting down a knife for myself, but want to keep it under three inches, but I think I want it also to be a throwing knife. And really the knife part is due to I have a 'knife' on my Swiss Army Knife knockoff but it can barely cut paper when sharpened and since I get a lot of packages it would be nice to actually be able to open them. I also want throwing knifes and a knife in general due to the wildlife back at school is just so dangerous that throwing is preferable to closing, but also a knife in general is better than a butter knife.

Rewatched Neon Genesis Evangelion, and have yet to watch essentially the reboot of the series but have that as well. Psychology class is going... alright dull though but what can you expect from a 201 class. Working on getting some more money so I don't feel so uneasy spending any of it. Also looking at getting into a Astrophysics class back at school since I don't need to take two other classes I signed up for.

First day of heat here... I am not happy with this weather. Last week it kept taunting me with having clouds moving over us, kept thinking it would rain or something but no just cleared off and got hot. Can't even air out my room at night thanks to the field across from me is being harvested at night.

I say it again I hate summer. However yea for three hour plus phone calls, they are fun as only one person ever has them with me.
kurorahk: (pic#537393)
It is way to hot for my taste, but not hotter than it could get. Next I should note yesterday I had no internet so all I could do is realize how hot it was. As you are seeing this post you probably can tell I have internet back. One day with out internet was bad, however found out it was due to some weird stuff happening with the providers. However now I can access and alter my port forwarding stuff which is nice.

Second note, I have a lot of screen caps to make into icons from Full Metal Panic, my main thing is working out which ones I want to use as I only have fifteen slots and I have more than that in pics.

Anyways it is great to be back online, I can ignore the heat better when I have a distraction.

A week of 95°F weather is not fun, and today is only the second day of it.
kurorahk: (pic#537393)
Summer is (thankfully) zooming by. Things here have been going nicely and well I must say it is enjoyable to get so much time off.

Down side is that it is not past July 4th, which for here means... yeah heat waves, bad ones. Not super hot like last year yet but 95°F for five days strait... not going to be fun soon. However I am getting used to my room during the day being around 80°F which is around what it was for most of last summer when it got ungodly hot out.

Still though by the Emperor why?!

Also finally got a new icon, still need to go through the rest of Full Metal Panic! and find some more.
kurorahk: (Default)
Squee! Really that is what I did for the whole of the second half of the episode. I am really happy and yeah reasons why under the cut. the cut. )

5. Amy Pond at any age is amazingly intelligent and also is just plain awesome.

Just a quick (hopefully) summation of what is going on and has happened.

First, Doctor Who surprised me in s5 ep12 due to they pulled something I did not think of tell after they said it. Good job writers you did something out of the ordinary however still sad at how some things played out.

Second, Fathers Day was fun, went shooting and finally got to shoot my dads Thompson machine gun (not fully auto though only semi as per the law says) it was fun but long drive to and from.

Third, due to Introduction to Psychology starts at 10am tomorrow I have to miss Leverage tonight as I need to actually sleep and get up at a decent time. However after I get back from class and finish putting the finish on the last two bench beams I will sit down and watch it.
kurorahk: (Default)
Hello all, not much exciting has been going on but whatever I need to keep in the habit of making posts and also writing. So lets just jump into what has been going on.

So been watching The Spoony Experiment, which is much like Nostalgia Critic reviews old games and movies. It is nice to actually hear opinions on old games and movies some I have seen and played and some that I have not by Spoony mainly focuses on the really bad games and movies which makes it interesting. Anyways mainly been watching it due to it is humor and I have been watching a lot of drama thanks to NCIS and NCIS: LA.

Past that I have been reading A Civil Campaign, still not done yet as it is for pleasure not work, and wow how I can relate to far to many of the romances and both parties in each romance. Though I wish I had not stayed up tell 5am reading the book as now I have to deal with a even more messed up sleep schedule than before.

Third thing is that today I went out and worked for two hours, starting out with cleaning our garage a bit, then moving on to working on my Mothers bench, and finally to spreading gypsum across the yard to help reduce the clay content in the soil. That last one took the longest due to I was working on one acre of land with just my hands to spread it. Needless to say my feet are killing me for being on them for two hours without break.

Also got to thinking that I might make a separate account just for NONE if it starts up again just so when we are in off season I can have misadventures myself.

Wish my headaches would stop, thankfully now they are only based on hydration.

So just a update that is a bit overdue.

First thing is that I am enjoying reading "A Civil Campaign" by Lois McMaster Bujold. I like it and find it not as depressing as some of the past few books, "Komarr" was alright as well but "A Civil Campaign" is a lot less sad so far.

In other news I am almost done with NCIS, as in the whole series. NCIS: LA is up next, and I will find it interesting.

In other other news I last Sunday I went to Rainy Day Games with what I have in the way of a Chaos Space Marines 750 point force. First game was a 1v1 and I won which felt good and also it was fun and the person I was up against had fun as well. After the 1v1 it went to 1v2 me and a player using Necron. We fought against a Chaos Space Marine force of 1200 points, we got toasted which bite but was not that bad. The second battle also made my mind up instead of going Imperial Guard for my second army I am going Tyranid which will be fun and interesting.
kurorahk: (Default)
So just watched it, I have to say interesting and that the Doctor seems to forget a lot of things.

5. I know the characters are not supposed to be all to genera savvy but still at some point common sense has to kick in. Then again the Doctor might have thrown that into a Supernova with the manual for the TARDIS.

The removal of my wisdom teeth went well for me. Apparently it was four not three teeth though but took around an hour. Thanks to all the medication I have finally also figured out how I can take pills even with my rather annoying over active gag reflex.

Right now I am on Vicodin when ever I start hurting, and Amoxicillin four times a day. No negative reaction to them which I am happy about. Also it seems that I am the only one in my family that when getting their wisdom teeth removed did not get knocked out for the procedure. Probably why I am so awake and feeling okay.

I really can't wait tell I can stop having the gaze in my mouth, and my lips to stop being swollen.
kurorahk: (Default)
So tomorrow I am going in at 9am to get three wisdom teeth removed. They are going to use some drugs, but the main thing is this is the first time I have ever had surgery. I am a bit uptight about it due to seeing how the drugs worked on my brother a few years back. I don't like being loopy, and that is how he was acting. Though I am a fast healer so hopefully will not be out to long.

Cut as don't want to gross people out with talk about sickness. )
So my birthday went well for me, watched Iron Man 2 which I enjoyed though it was loud. Got home had a nice simple dinner. Had a Magic swirl cake. Then after that got a printer for college, which is nice as I no longer have to go to the library to print stuff off. Which living on the opposite side of the campus makes annoying. Got the 40K 5th edition codex, big book, costs more than it should in my opinion, well everything related to 40k from Gamesworkshop is over priced. Also found out that Jo-Ann's carries enamel paints of three to four times the volume of Hillsboro Hobby Shop for only twice if not one and a half times the price.

Well tomorrow will be interesting to say the least. Probably will not be able to talk though for most of tomorrow.

Quick Post

This is a quick post as I am going off soon to watch Iron Man 2 for my birthday. But I have really good news. The Audio port on my laptop started randomly working for me. By this I mean it a problem where it did not detect my headphone slot but now it does and it works as well. This makes me happy as nothing has changed and it fixed it self. And no there have been no updates to my laptop with regard to the audio port.

This just makes me happy as now I can play my games without regard to desktop or laptop. Well almost graphics cards are different in the way that my desktop is superior to my laptop. Well okay my desktop is superior in all ways except for mobility. Then again that is why I built this desktop is so that way I could have high end games that are fun without the immersion being broken but not being able to see anything, or lag.

The universe is being kind, well some what the mosquito bites over my arms and legs still are annoying.

Got my hair cut today, no more long hair. Watching new Doctor Who episode. Oh inquisitive Doctor how much of a jerk you can be. Anyways nice time right now, and time to relax, while watching shows. Later go out and work for more money.

Ugh I wish my body would not be so weak.

Home

Got home safe and sound, and got all of my desktop home with me without any problems. However I had a really close call with missing my plane home. How close? Well try they closed the door right after I got on the plane, not before I sat down. But after all the running with some 40 pounds on my back for over a mile in about 6 minutes I feel awesome. And I should due to everything works, I got a lot of sleep, and even with everything that happened I made it home on time.

Now it is time to go figure out what I am doing for summer, already know I am going to take Introduction to Psychology at PCC over the summer so I have one less class come fall back at college.
kurorahk: (Default)
So this Tuesday Humans versus Zombies will start up on my campus for the first time. We have one tenth of the school population playing. This will be amazing and fun, and drive my paranoia through the roof. Tonight we have a informational meeting but registration is still open tell Midnight when the game begins. Though I highly doubt I will be out and about at that time or later.

In other news my packages have yet to show themselves which is annoying due to they should have been here on Friday. Passing all of my classes as well, and fixing my coat slowly. Trench coat's lining is a pain to fix...
