Countdown

No not the comic just have a countdown going on it my life. The countdown is not so something like a break in the semester (okay so that one is going but it is not starting tell March 12th). No instead this is about Supreme Commander 2, which more and more people after the discovery of the Debug Mode have renewed their interest in SupCom2 (sadly we can't make use of SC2 or SCII thanks to the first being Star Craft 2 and the second being the other way that people refer to Star Craft 2). I am glad of this as I got the same sense from the demo campaign as I did with Supreme Commander's campaign. By that I mean that you only get a small view of what you can do during the campaign.

2 Days tell release I am excited, still tired annoyingly enough but still excited.

In other news I got my work all done and don't have anything to do tonight or tomorrow night which is awesome to me. Tuesday after dinner will be fun though as long as it does not end up with me passing out right after dinner.

Also catching up on Ghost Hunters International.

Hooray For The Weekend!

I am happy the weekend is here mainly due to it means hopefully I will get lots of sleep and stop hurting and get closer to being all healed up. Also now that it is the weekend it means that not to long tell Supreme Commander 2 is released. But that is something next weekend will be all about. This weekend will be about getting a few things done and getting better. Probably play Fallout 3 some and IDK what else. If I get feeling better I might go for playing Supreme Commander Forged Alliance or just Supreme Commander some more. It is funny most people would think that playing games when I am not feeling well is what I do, but no when I am not feeling well I can't it just requires to much work.

Still don't know what is causing me to be as sore as I am for the last few days, can't turn me neck as far as I could a week ago, my right arm just is continuously sore, and my eyes I can barely move around without them hurting like mad. Sleep, lots and lots of sleep should help and lots of water as well.

Supreme Commander 2 and Chemistry

Chemistry test was easy, took me twenty seven minutes to do. Which is fast, so fast in fact that I was the first one done, and I know I did great on it.

As for Supreme Commander 2 the demo is supposed to be out sometime today, so far no official word on it other than Chris Taylor's word during a open forum chat for Best Buy. Hopefully it will be out by tonight. But in other news found a ride to go pick up Supreme Commander 2 (SC2 as Starcraft 2 is not a game I will be getting) as my RA (Resident Hall Assistant) offered to give me a ride into town and back the morning that it releases. Which works for me. Though I still won't be playing it that day tell after Chemistry Lab.

I am still having problems with songs being stuck in my head so I am just listening to lots of music of my choice and not the random stuff that keeps showing up in my head.

Problems With Classes

The type of classes I am talking about is college classes. Specifically my Chemistry Laboratory Class. Now normally I enjoy chemistry I find it fun and if this gig with Aerospace Engineering does not turn out I will just go get a degree in chemistry and go with that. However today's lab, and actually every other lab ever we have had to deal with too many people and to little supplies. This causes people to have to sit around while everyone else crowds around what little supplies there are, which is inherently unsafe for a chemistry lab with various acids and poisons everywhere. So today for the second time I felt almost compelled to just say to hell with doing it in two person groups and ask the group behind me to work with us and do the second half of the lab while we did the first half. Did not actually do that, but now I do have to go in on Thursday morning with my partner and finish up the lab. Oh and another thing this school fails at even supplying the most basic of equipment. Our voltmeters we are never have expected to use before have no instructions, are analog, and no explanation on how to read or set correctly. They have hardly any numbers on them so you can't just guesstimate... As for the digital voltmeters and analog ones even once we figured out the right settings from memory they kept jumping round for the galvanic cell which should not happen.

So Thursday my partner and I are going back in and this time with his digital voltmeter finish up the darn lab and turn it in. We are lucky that are teacher is fine with late labs as long as they are in before the end of Thursday. And on top of this I have to study a bit tonight for my second Chemistry test, mainly due to we probably will get some really, really weird reactions in odd solutions...

Results

These are the results of this week of over working, being injured, and far to stressed.

I have been up to long, been over stressed, and my body has been working on keeping me healthy and fixing itself... I am starting to see people in the corner of my sight, I hear people following me, talking, shouting... Yeah I am going to sleep this off now... And hope it is just all that and not something else.

Also finished watching VR.5 more on this later though.

Problems With Shows

I have a problem with shows. The problem with them is that if they are good in any way I will watch all of it, I do this with web comics too. It is a bad habit only due to the amount of time it consumes. I mean okay [personal profile] dysprositos tried to get me to start watching VR.5 which actually is exactly the type of show I like, the problem is that I know even if the episodes are for the most part disconnected I would still end up using up around 11 hours to watch all the episodes in one sitting. I don't have that kind of time right now. The other problem is that with having several other shows that I am currently watching this would really kill everything else that I am planning on doing or have to go do. I mean right now I am watching: Angel, Buffy, Leverage, Being Human, Bleach (and reading the Manga as it comes out), and soon VR.5.

Yeah that does not seem like a lot of shows but each one is about 45 minutes long, except for Bleach with is 22 minutes long. This along with my addiction to Video Games (not really an addiction as I don't have withdraws or anything like that) would kill my time that I need for doing Homework and studying for classes and tests. Expecially this week as I have my Physics 3 midterm over Electric Fields, Capacitors, and Electric Potential Difference, which is not a easy set of subjects. I just hope that this weekend (yes it is only Tuesday and I am looking forward to the weekend) that I can sit down and watch these shows and take care of most of the ones that have already aired and ended because then it will be back down to a manageable level of stuff I want to do. Though with only around an hour between classes for Wednesday and Friday I don't think that I will be able to fit any shows in tell after Dinner.

Man this test for Physics 3 is going to destroy me physically and emotionally due to just how hard the subjects are. Plus recovering from yesterday.

Cutting The Wires

And in this case the "wires" refers to my hair. So while showering I cut my hair and it is not lopsided, had to trim some parts that I could not tell where to cut at due to lack of a mirror in the shower but over all it looks good and is not to short. This means the Mullet is dead.

You know one thing that is better about living in a video game is that you can have your hair cut to a longer length for the same cost as any other hair cut...

Also still waiting on my friend to call me up so we can go to breakfast/lunch.

And Odd Subject For A Guy To Talk About

At least to me that is. The topic is hair, specifically my hair. Last night if finally had grown to the point that it looks like a mullet or as my friend put it "Your hair looks like it is trying to eat your neck." I agree it does look like it is trying to eat my neck so tomorrow after I shower I am going to cut my own hair for the first time. Thankfully I talked to my Mom over break about how to cut your own hair so it should go smoothly, and finally my bangs will die!

Yeah I did not want to ever be told I have a mullet I dislike them and without the ability (thanks to a shortage of cash) to get hair extensions to hide it I am just going to cut it off and make it look like the last length of hair I liked. Mainly this means rounding up the hair at the back of my neck and cutting it off then cleaning it up and after that trimming around my ears so they are visible again.

It should be a interesting experience cutting my own hair.

On a side not slept in a lot today almost missed Chemistry due to it but oh well and finally found out how many dryer sheets to use with my combined whites and color cloths (since the dryers are big enough to fit all of my colors and whites together granted I don't have a lot of either) and now using 3 makes the cloths nice and soft which is rather pleasant.

It's Just A Habit I Can Quit Anytime

Posting that is the habit, well kind of just seems like when I post once after not posting for a while I start posting a lot. Anyways Chemistry was boring again fell asleep or almost did, the homework for the class took like twenty minutes to do last night. Since it was easy this left me with a lot of free time to watch Buffy, which I did since anything else would have kept me up for longer. So almost done with Season two just got the finale to watch I believe.

As for other things well just starting to make plans on what I am going to do for Summer, which really is going to be finding a job hopefully so I can fund finishing my desktop and then upgrade some pieces of it to where I want it to be at. Also so I can fund my Warhammer 40k miniatures addiction which really is more of the painting and modeling and not so much the playing of it, though that will happen too over summer.

The day just started and I want to go back to bed but can't tell four because of only about one hour and ten minute breaks between classes...

Final Days of Winter Break 09-10

So next Monday I am back at college, but here is the problem my sleep schedule is messed up badly. So I am going to go to sleep in the middle of the day and hopefully only nap. If it all works out by the time I head back I will be on a normalish sleep schedule and everything if not well things at school will force it to be in the right shape pretty fast.

In other news Warhammer 40K miniatures here are all painted, waiting for my laptops new speaker to come in and working on getting method of shipping my painting supplies and glue down to college so I can paint my Chaos Predator Tank that will be getting there soonish. Also probably will put up photos of my painted miniatures up after I get up from this nap thing.

Happy New Years Everyone!

Happy New Years everyone and hope everyone is having a good day, or at least one that is not bad. So right now I am waiting for my paint to dry so I can go lay down the black base for the rest of my Chaos Terminator Lord. Got all the Gold painted on, so now it is putting down the dark base and then on the parts that already have base on them start painting the proper colors. Right now though having a bit of trouble figuring out which version of the five possible heads I want to use for my Termi Lord. I would put up pictures of it's current status but can't get photos off my camera due to can't find a cord for the camera nor the sd card reader for its card.

But not much longer tell I go back to painting then after that take another break to let it dry some more. Probably at that time I will watch the new episode of Doctor Who.

Little Did I Know Snow

So today has been long and odd, mainly got up yesterday at 4pm and have been running sense, that and I predicted the weather right, and I have to get my four wisdom teeth pulled when I get back from College. So yeah it is snowing, had a good check up for my teeth and what not, and am tired. At the dentists I also got my head stuck into a radial x-ray machine, which was a odd experience for me (it just felt odd). Anyways I am going to eat, relax some maybe go to bed early, and then finish off Memory which is one of the most depressing Miles Vorkosigan books ever.

Oh oh before I forget I ordered the parts to fix my laptop seeing as I could not find a local source for it, but those should be here in like a week or less. Less I hope so I can get to doing fun stuff again.

It is weird reading all these books as I feel that Miles is rubbing off on me, thankfully only in the my thought pattern is starting to emulate Miles' thought patterns. Then again it could all be due to lack of sleep and food.

Yea for Corporate Holidays!

Happy Corporate Holiday to everyone who celibates it! Oh and to Christians and derivative religions of Christianity Merry Christmas to you too! As for those who don't celibate those two have a very good day and look out for crazy people not caring about those with different beliefs to theirs today is their day (like every other day it seems) to forget there are other religions/belief systems than theirs.

To the heart of things, yesterday and today where good and I am about to go take a nap as I am now tired from being up for a while only powered by sugar (surprised I lasted as long as I have). Anyways life has been good, and now that my laptop is down, somewhat enjoying things a bit more after getting over it breaking. Next week is going to be busy as my brother and I have a dentist appointment and also going out to get some paint and glue for my Warhammer 40k Chaos Terminator Lord that I got, and to get the wire for my laptop. Though once I have said cable the next task will be looking into getting new speakers for my laptop so it can put out audio instead of being mute all the time.

But really Christmas is more of a Corporate Holiday than a Christian one it feels. Also feels a bit awkward being the only Atheist in a room of 20+ people who all are fairly Catholic or at least Deist. Ah the joys of Christmas Eve being surrounded by those who believe in something you don't and still getting a gift from the Grand parents anyways. Just glad that this year I dodged being made to read either of the Christmas stories (Christ's birth and A Visit From St. Nicholas).

Now to go nap, thank Chaos that it did not snow this year, that can wait tell I am safely back at college.

Problems with Hewlett-Packard

So I took apart my laptop to try to find the source of the audio problem, and put it back together so that it still works just as it did before I disassembled it. Problem is that well my laptop still does not recognize my speakers but things are working quite nicely. I do want to say though I am never buying a HP machine again, either making my own or getting a Dell or Gateway laptop, maybe Acer.

But if it is just my speakers as I am hoping I may be able to get a replacement from a computer recycling place near my parents house. If not well wonderful, but the two parts that I think are bad I hope I can get replacements for the speakers or the front panel.

Anyways at least I have a functional terminal to the internet which is a big relief to me. Only problem is nobody to talk to on the internet, all my friends are either in different time zones or traveling, or just plain not online. Thankfully my brother is being somewhat entertaining.

ETA: Well scratch the still working part was trying to connect something back in so I could seal it all the way back up but the little pieces of metal on the what I can only assume is paper flaked off and disappeared... So now it does not even turn on, but oh well using my moms laptop for now, going to see about getting replacement parts for the little bloody wires but also look into getting new speakers as well. To complex it seems for something so simple...

Life is Busy Today

No not a rant/essay about life being hectic or something like that, no just lot of things to do today that I want to push off. Mainly going home I want to wait for a day... I want to stay here have a day where all I have to do is pack and clean, which would give me a chance to hang out with my friends, mainly one though.

Also get to see how well I can get stuff to work on WINE on Ubuntu 9.10 so I have stuff to do over the break besides reading and sleeping.

Update

Because I find storms awesome and what not I am posting.

So today big storm out of Alaska/Canada is hitting where I am, it is knocking out power to parts of the school, driving winds of that of the Oregon Gorge. It is constantly howling. Also snow sticking is awesome for me, not enough back home for my tastes usually. Also what is more awesome than a Snow storm with driving winds? Simple a snow storm with LIGHTNING it is awesome, well the two times it happened was. The building I live in keeps browning out, well not just lights flickering but yeah awesome to me as does not happen often and I love a good storm.

Anyways also finals week here, but only one left for me then home, dreaded home, don't want to leave because I get free time soon but I can't spend it the way I want to.

Windows 7 the virdict and the struggle against time

So today I had to upgrade to Windows 7, now this is a good thing I was planning to anyways just was waiting tell my disk got here; my C:\ decided that the right time was today though.

This morning at 5:30am (first time this week I have gotten up after 3:30am...) I got up and started using my desktop. Mainly to watch the launch of the Ares-1X (which I missed later on) but then my C:\ started to run at 100% for long periods of time, and getting hot. Then it Blue Screen of Death on me. I did not realize tell around 2pm or so that the drive was actually going out for good tell it made the clicking sounds of doom/death. Then it was on, the race to download the no disk installer for Windows 7 before the C:\ died.

Got 66% of the way through the download and then it died, my bios went with it too, but I was lucky that my Motherboard has two bios on it so all was good there. Went to a friend who has the disk for 7 installed it and have been running it since around 6pm.

My verdict on Windows 7 is that it is vastly superior to Vista, and XP can eat Windows 7's dust as it has less functionality and ease of access to programs, files, and easy to understand layout than XP did.

Today's Occurances

Yeah so far woke up way to early at a nice early hour of 3:38am and could not go back to sleep because of being to warm. Go outside at 7:00am and it has dropped 6̊F. So yeah 30°F is not fun to walk in with wet hair while going to breakfast. I swear here the temperature lowers when the sun rises to throw people off and kill them.
